Burrito is FREEEE!!
You all remember burrito– the baby squirrel found orphaned and dying at 3 weeks old!
Then I showed him all growed up (well more grown up) and doing well.
Today **drumroll please** Burrito was released!! See him up in his release nesting box? He’ll hang out in that as long as he wants (there’s food and water nailed to the tree) and when he’s ready, he can go and find his very own tree home!
You can see that his food has already made him a little too popular so I’m going to put more nuts, seeds and fruits all over the place to discourage monstrously large squirrels from stealing his dinner. Even though he seems so large now compared to when I got him, look at how teeny he is compared to a full grown squirrel!

I didn’t know about the on going saga of Burrito but I am happy he seems to be doing well. I hope he learns to forage for food too. SQUIRRELS ARE SOOOO CUTE! Good luck!

Now… it occurs to me that I don’t see anything to grab on the outside of that box. 0.o Hope he navigates that okay, hehe.

jessiechan–I know I’m nervous he won’t realize he can just flip the top lid open! Squirrels ususally figure it out but if he doesn’t I’ll nail something to his box;-)
